Line-of-sight breaks

Every entity uses a detection cone. Crouch, route around corners, and re-enter a detection cone only at safe-room boundaries.

Pig detection radius

The Pig's detection cone is intentionally over-tuned. Speedrunners test the cone in a private server to map exact pixel boundaries.

Damaging one Chicken chains aggro to the entire flock. Use cabin doorways as chokepoints to prevent the chain.

Latency compensation

Server-side detection outpaces client-side rendering by 200-400 ms. Treat all 'safe' distances as 20% shorter than they appear.
